Teresa Scalzo is an aspiring fiction author who has spent the past two decades grappling with this question in various roles ranging from prosecutor to sex crimes investigation / prosecution trainer and consultant to author of scholarly publications on investigating and prosecuting violence against women. She is currently working on her first novel, Silenced Voices, which brings to life the struggles faced by a Special Victims Unit prosecutor striving to give victims a voice so offenders can be held accountable.
